Projects and other experiences

ARISE has performed consultancy directly for the European Commission, several European City and Regional Authorities and for the ITS (IVHS) America programme in the USA. As examples of EC-funded projects, ARISE has been a partner of HOPES (Telematics, DGXIII) as responsible for safety evaluation of incident warning systems, SCRIPT (Telematics Applications for Rural Areas, DGXIII), QUARTET PLUS (Gothenburg contribution on analysis of the public transport incident handling process, DGXIII), CAPTURE (Urban Transport, DGVII, safety and human factors), HINT (Impact of new technology on human and organisational factors, DGVII), MAESTRO (Guidelines for the selection, design and evaluation of pilot/demonstration projects, DGVII), CERTIFIED (road-side tests of impaired drivers), and a THERMIE (DGXVII) dissemination activity. Beginning in 2001, some of the EU-funded work has also been organised via FRANzénCONsult AB (the Swedish founding member of ARISE) or in association with CIT - Chalmers Industriteknik.
